Lil' Ron-Ron -- always an easy target

I've been wanting to get back into the blogosphere post-election, but I've had a hard time finding the time or the motivation. The time: planning a wedding and honeymoon is a huge pain in the ass -- I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really, you know, in love and all that. The motivation: like most men I know, I am motivated more by hate/anger than by love/victory -- hence, the election really killed my buzz, as I was just getting really good at hating that French p*ssy Kerry.

Which brings me to Lil' Ron-Ron Reagan, who always provides such a nice and easy target for my inner rage. TKS hits on this theme today: that Ron Reagan has landed his own show on MSNBC -- that's right, his own GD show on MSNBC -- because: a) he's Ronald Reagan's son; b) he's liberal; and 3) he is ambiguously gay. Note that these three factors are interdependent -- without one of them, Lil' Ron-Ron is just another ambiguously gay liberal metrosexual, or at best/worst, just another son/daughter of a politician who has rejected his/her father's political ideology. But put these three simple ingredients together, and you've got Chris Matthews pitching a tent and salivating every time he's on.

What's mindblowing is that the guy has no talent whatsoever: he has no insight, he has no expertise of any kind (other than the ability to stretch the natural limits of the fashion craze that is the mock turtleneck), he has no style in his presentation. But, by God, he's got that intoxicating mix of gayness, liberality, and Reaganness that all 300+ viewers of MSNBC yearn for.
